My name is Peter Neeld - welcome to my world of art

 

I was born in Cheshire and spent all my working life in office management.

 

I have always shown an interest in art and finally got the chance – after a heart attack and retirement -  to take up painting seriously

 

I decided to focus on watercolour and attended local college evening classes. I  soon progressed to private lessons from a professional artist. He was an amazing inspiration and helped me to develop my own style. I have also been encouraged by top Royal Doulton Artist T.G.Abbotts whose advice has been invaluable. I tend to paint landscapes, usually with water and seascapes. I like to include wet-in-wet to establish colourful pictures with a translucent quality, which seems to work for me. I have also painted still life very successfully

 

My work has been sold in the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia and the USA with a highly popular and full exhibition in Fairborn, Ohio
